NCI Packaging is part of a team that has been recognised with a Silver Award in the Domestic and Household Category at the PIDA 2020.
NCI Packaging worked with Cabot’s and Birdstone Collective to help engineer a product that reduced the complex and onerous task of oiling your deck.
The Cabot’s Ready Bucket was created to simplify the consumer’s experience through eliminating the often messy process of moving oil into a container and creating easier storage for future use. This was developed by fusing two products into one lightweight and easy to carry bucket. The team also ensured that decking oil and paint could be held in a safe and secure format throughout the entire supply chain.
Key product features such as the tamper-evident seal, in-built pad off area, integrated foot well and carry points at the front and back. Existing Cabot’s accessories such as the Cabot’s Decking Applicator, fit perfectly into the bucket and add to the simplicity of both the purchasing and end-user experience.
All team members focused on the goal of introducing a new and unique product to the market. From a start point of identifying a common consumer problem, through to providing a solution, the collaboration and innovation displayed by all, has resulted in a product that just makes sense.
