The acquisition of Ruskin Plastics injection moulding assets in 2001 by NCI Packaging, these operations were integrated into NCI’s plastic operations.
Ruskin was a 50 year old company with plants at Tullamarine and Lismore.
Lismore was kept operational until 2003 but the main focus was at Tullamarine. The plant was a specially built for the manufacture of food container with special attention to hygiene. It prided itself on high quality products of unquestioned hygiene for ice cream and related products were a specialty.
The integration, while a major event went slowly but smoothly.
