In the production of packaging materials, our operations account for about 30% of emissions, while input materials, such as steel and plastic resin account for ca. 70%.

Since 2018, we have been implementing a wide range of climate protection measures, resulting in a significant reduction in our energy consumption from gas and electricity.

We continuously monitor and assess the environmental impact of our operations. Significant reductions in the consumption of energy from fossil fuels were achieved due to:

Installation of two efficient hi-speed presses, reducing the need for 183tons of steel and associated CO2 from steel production.

Our purpose-built Auckland production facility utilising innovative, hi-efficient manufacturing technology: -18% electricity from fossil fuels.

Plus

Relocation of our aerosol manufacturing line resulting in a reduction in energy consumption and in saved transportation, equivalent to 400 semi trailers between Sydney and Melbourne each year and associated CO2 emissions

By 2023, we will have a 500kW solar system installed on each of our four Australian manufacturing sites. All four sites combined will generate 2500MWh of energy from renewables each year, resulting in a 20% reduction of energy from fossil fuels.

By 2035, we are targeting a 52% reduction in CO2 emissions across our Australia / New Zealand operations.
