Plastic
Recycling

Out of all packaging materials, plastic has the lowest recycling rate: only between 12 and 16% of plastic in Australia is being recycled.

About 60% of the recovered materials are suitable for re-use, which means that between 8 and 9% of plastic is being re-used in Australia and around 90% of plastics ends up either in landfill or oceans.

At NCI, we are working closely with clients and suppliers to continuously increase the amount of recycled content in our plastic pails and lids.

We are investing in new equipment, which allows us to incorporate recycled plastic resin into our production process. At the same time, we conduct extensive performance testing to ensure that our clients’ and their customers’ expectations will be met.

Plastics can only go through the recycling process a finite number of times.
